I’m Rachel Weingarten, an internationally recognized lifestyle writer, weekly style columnist and award-winning author. While I write mostly about beauty, fashion, style, business, travel, luxury, spa, marketing, pop culture and trends, I frequently dabble in topics that aren’t as easily defined. I harbor a passion for Mid-Century design in fashion and furniture, am not so secretly obsessed with all things Rockabilly and am a life-long resident of Brooklyn with brief stints in Paris.
I’ve written two award-winning books: Career and Corporate Cool and Hello Gorgeous! Beauty Products in America ’40s-’60s, and regularly write for top media outlets. I’m also regularly quoted about business and style and the business of style in publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, to Glamour Magazine and the AP.
I regularly appear as a trends, business and style expert on TV shows like Good Morning America, ABC News, The Today Show, a recent documentary on The Sundance Channel, a series about women entrepreneurs that I created for CNN called Enterprising Women or as the work style expert for People Style Watch.
My day job is as a marketing strategist and personal branding consultant. I lead personal branding workshops at NYU, have lectured about the history of the beauty industry at FIT and created business etiquette & style workshops for Fortune 100 companies.
