I’m Rachel Weingarten, an internationally recognized lifestyle writer, style columnist and award-winning author and I’d love to work with you; be it on articles (bylined or ghostwritten), custom content or larger editorial or native content projects.
While I write mostly about beauty, fashion, business, travel, luxury, spa, marketing, pop culture and trends, I frequently dabble in topics that aren’t as easily defined. I harbor a passion for Mid-Century design in fashion and furniture, am not so secretly obsessed with all things Rockabilly and am very proudly Brooklyn born and bred.
I’ve written three non-fiction books. My most recent book: Ancient Prayer: Channeling Your Faith 365 Days of the Year (Fall River Press 1/16) was the first faith based title commissioned/published by Barnes and Noble and a Barnes and Noble exclusive. I’m also the author of Career and Corporate Cool (A CareerBuilder pick for most interesting career book of the year and Entrepreneur magazine pick for one of five page turners for women/book of the year) and Hello Gorgeous! Beauty Products in America ’40s-’60s (A New York Public Library book of the year) and have ghostwritten a handful of others.
I’m a columnist for Parade.com, and contributor to career site Ladders, amNewYork, The Bowflex Insider. I regularly write for top media outlets including CNN Digital, The Guardian, The Week, USA Today, BravoTV.com, Esquire, Newsday, Crain’s New York Business and many others. I’m also regularly quoted about business and style and the business of style in publications ranging from the Wall Street Journal and The New York Times, to Glamour Magazine and the AP.
I’m a repeat guest on top morning TV shows including Good Morning America, ABC News and the Today Show discussing trends, business and style. I also created and acted as the on-air talent for a show on CNN about women entrepreneurs called Enterprising Women.
My day job is as a marketing strategy consultant and personal branding expert and founder of Mavrik NYC. I’m a sometimes professor, leading personal branding workshops at NYU, have lectured about the history of the beauty industry at FIT, and partnered with LVMH on creating a course on beauty history for students in the luxury business program at Parsons. I also create business etiquette & style workshops for Fortune 100 companies.
